At the General Body Meeting on January 12th, Tribal Members submitted nominations for who they feel should be on the Ethics Commission. Now, those nominated have until Sunday, March 9th to submit their Letter of Interest and the reasons they feel they should be elected to the commission.

At the General Membership Meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 9th, 2025, nominations shall be taken to fill the Tribal Council vacancy created by the resignation of Councilman Nelson Andrews Jr. A vote on the nominations will take place at the following General Membership Meeting on Sunday, April 13th, 2025 with the nominee receiving the highest number of votes filling the Tribal Council vacancy.

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Historic Preservation Department (THPD) invites enrolled Tribal members to participate in an exciting training opportunity to assist the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Archives (MWTA) in archival research and collections care, developing a digital access platform and reviewing materials.

The Natural Resources Department is offering hands-on hunting & fishing experiences open to tribal youth eager to learn, explore, and honor our traditions. Whether you’re new to the outdoors or looking to sharpen your skills, this is your chance to step into a time-honored way of life.

Tribal citizen and James Beard Award winning Chef, Sherry Pocknett, was recently featured as a judge on Hell’s Kitchen, the cooking competition show hosted by Gordon Ramsay. She appeared in Season 23 episode 11 “ A Soap Opera in Hell”.

The tribe has teamed up with the Community Action Committee of Cape Cod and Islands to do a Health Insurance Enrollment at the Community and Government Center once a month. There will be trained navigators to assist tribal members in one-on-one meetings with applying, shopping and enrolling in a health insurance program.

The Taste of the Earth plant-based food cooking contest, hosted by the Native Land Conservancy and the Natural Resources Department, will return at the annual Honor the Earth Fair held at the Community and Government Center on Saturday, April 12.

The Youth Advisory Committee is hosting an April Vacation Youth Game Night on Friday, April 25th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Community and Government Center. There will be a game truck from Amazin’ Gamin’ as well as other games and activities for all ages from toddlers to teens.
