Brian weeden, chairman
Brian Weeden, at 28-years old, is the youngest person elected to Chairman of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. He is from the Eel Clan.
Chairman Weeden also serves on numerous boards and committees in the community, including the town of Mashpee School Committee and Historical Commission.
Chairman Weeden is the Co-President/Trustee of the United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY) INC., National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) Youth Commission Co-Vice President.
Chairman Weeden has and continues to be heavily involved in his Tribe serving on the Tribe's Pow Wow Committee, Land Use and Planning Committee, Enrollment Committee and Youth Advisory Committee.
As a certified language teacher, Chairman Weeden is the Vice President of the WLRP Board of Directors.

cassie jackson, Secretary
Cassie Jackson was elected Tribal Council Secretary in 2021. She is a devoted tribal citizen providing support over the years to tribal operation, numerous committees and our traditional ways.
Secretary Jackson serves as an advocate for the community in many ways. Her pledge to serve the community and her commitment to a stronger Wampanoag Nation is supported by her willingness to work alongside fellow council members and support for all legislation that moves our people in a positive direction.
Secretary Jackson’s work over several decades have unified our people and provided meaningful changes that have advanced all tribal citizens. Her support of the community includes serving on the Wampanoag Ball Committee, the Powwow Committee, the Election Committee and the Housing Commission.
In addition to her volunteer work, Secretary Jackson previously served as the Emergency Services Program Manager for the Tribe. Following her work as Program Manager, she was the Housing Department Administrative Assistant and more recently the Child & Family Services Administrative Assistant.
Secretary Jackson is the proud mother of Ryanne White-Jackson. She is the daughter of Eleanor Jackson and granddaughter of Beatrice Jackson and Warren Hicks. She graduated from Falmouth High School and went on to further her education at Cape Cod Community College where she earned her Associates Degree in Science with a Criminal Justice Concentration.
Secretary Jackson promises to uphold the laws of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Constitution, ensure the community is well informed, give back the voice of our people and respect the wisdom our elders.
Charles “Bobby” Foster, Treasurer
Charles “Bobby” Foster has over 18 years of experience in tribal government and operations. He’s served three terms on Tribal Council, six years as the Tribes Asset Manager and now holds the position as Tribal Council and Gaming Authority Treasurer. He’s managed and executed multiple simultaneous projects and policy initiatives utilizing a team oriented approach congruent with traditional values and principles of self-determination. He’s Developed, introduced and enacted laws, policies and statutes that reinforce the sovereign interests of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and its members. He’s served as the liaison for the Museum Committee, Meeting House Committee, Housing Committee, Election Committee, Pow Wow Committee, Ball Committee, and Public Safety Commission (Homeland Security Board). He established the first Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Police Department and worked on and implemented an MOU with the Town of Mashpee, City of Taunton and Barnstable County Sheriff’s Dept. for Material Aid and Detention (Police, Fire and Emergency Services).
He was appointed to the Tribal Gaming Authority Board in 2013 and continues today. One of the tasks when appointed was to design, build and create a world class experience for First Light Resort & Casino that is unprecedented regionally and nationally in the gaming resort industry. Today we are on our way to bring First Light Resort & Casino to fruition for our people the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and the City of Taunton.
